Giuliana is a research fellow at the Nanomaterials for Biomedical Applications Laboratory. She holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Bionanotechnology, awarded by Politecnico di Torino in December 2022. During her studies, she worked on the development of injectable hydrogels loaded with antioxidant and antibacterial nanoparticles for the treatment of chronic wounds.

Giuliana also gained experience as a sales and product specialist at a biotech startup, where she focused on the application of laser optoporation technologies for recording intracellular action potentials from in vitro cardiac cells.

Her current research is focused on the development of magnetic scaffolds to enable a novel multi-therapeutic approach for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme, combining immunotherapy, magnetic hyperthermia, and chemotherapy.
